Chelsea – Killing Football For Us All
By Paul Tomkins
There is much navel-gazing taking place in football at the moment. A lack of goals in big games; two-thirds of the Premiership looking to avoid relegation with stifling tactics; the empty seats at many stadia; and, in the case of Liverpool fans, the dip that follows any 'high' in life, be it heroin, caffeine or sugar. If you go up, you can only come down again. Sometimes with a bang. CONTINUE...

Yeah, the FA ought to give the trophy to Chelski and let the entire league starts all over again :D
Nah, juz kidding
but seriously...the situation is dire. At least in the past, we had 2-4 teams challenging. Now, Chelski looks like the only team who is capable of winning the trophy, with their brand of boring football nonwithstanding. I doubt even if they dropped points, others would be able to catch up.
Take for example, my club Man U. Playing like crap I admit. I could go on and on about their faults, but thats not the issue here. The point is, although we have a game in hand over the chelski bastards, we are 10 points behind. You do the maths....7 points back even IF we get the 3 points off our game in hand, which is not certain given our dodgy form in the recent weeks. The win over Benfica was good, but not convincing.
Lastly, think about it. Thinking about catching up by hoping Chelski drop points AFTER 7 GAMES INTO THE SEASON?!?! Thats like a new record of something. At least in the past, teams generally gave up on catching the title around X-mas to march if they are far behind.
The worst thing is, if they keep going this way the quality of other premiership sides will continue to go down as they'll keep snapping up all the quality players and even then they don't, the prices will be inflated anyway cuz of roman's roubles.
On the positive side, chelski have already won the premiership so failing to win the CL this year will be considered a failure for mourinho - no other teams have that sort of pressure on them
