If you hit the bar twice, have a half decent penalty shout turned down, put the ball in the net 3 times, twice legally, and STILL lose one nil, then you know it's just not your night. Despite playing Sao Paulo off the park for most of the game, Liverpool have lost, thanks to the linesman who ruled 3 goals offside and the referee who denied us a penalty. It was just one of those games where despite how good you are, it aint going in, and Liverpool were good! Match Report

Absolutely gutted. I was up 'til past 5am watching this - thought is was our destiny. I guess Tokyo was their Istanbul.
Ah well on to create other history and be the first team to win the Champions League from the very first qualifying round !!! Shame we won't be meeting Chav$ki, but perhaps Stevie G will help Ronaldinho find out who the REAL #1 player is in the world/europe in the quarters.
Well Sports Suck...Here in Canada we have a sport called hockey, where when you're unhappy with a ref's decision you can just smack someone for a 4 minutes major.
In the US, they have a sport called baseball where you can sit on your ass most of the game and be called an athlete....go tottenham! just kidding you! go leafs go
