Actually it was the Swiss government that shut down the websites. I am /not/ defending the FBI's actions in the case, or the treaty that allows the Swiss government to shut down American/UK websites; however, it was the Swiss that started the ball rolling.
Cheers for pointing that out. I didn't know that to be honest.
The funny thing is what started the ball rolling. indymedia.org had pictures of plain clothed Swiss police taken by demonstrators during a Swiss protest of some sort posted on their website. What were the police doing in the photos? Taking pictures of the protesters:)
So, I do not really suppose this is likely to work.
